Broken Age on seikkailupeli jossa kohtaa kaksi samankaltaista persoonaa, joilla aivan erilaiset taustat.

Vella ja Shay, kaksi nuorta jotka haluavat elää elämänsä sääntöjen ja arjen ulkopuolella.
Vella, jonka maailmassa on normaalia uhrata kerran vuodessa täysi-ikäisiä nuoria naisia jättimäiselle lonkerohirviölle. Näin kaupungit ja kylät säilyittäisivät rauhan ja järjestyksen. Tietenkin täytyy löytyä se yksi juuri täysi-iän saavuttanut nuori joka uhmaa perinteitä ja haluaa tuhota monsterin, ettei nuorten tarvitsisi heittää elämäänsä hukkaan.

Shay, jonka jokaista liikettä vahditaan hänen omassa avaruusaluksessaan. Aluksen kapteenina ei ole helppo toimia, kun Äiti- ja Isä- nimiset tekoälyt seuraavat sinua joka paikkaan. Eräänä iltana Shay kuitenkin onnistuu hämäämään ja pääsee kohtaamaan arkensa vastakohdan.

Peli on aika veikeällä tyylillä tehty. Aivan kuin pelaisit maalauksessa. Pelatessasi saat myös päälle vanhan kunnon pikselimössön, jos haluat vähän nostalgisuutta mukaan. Broken Age on aika helppo peli, muutamaa vaikeaa pulmaa lukuun ottamatta. Pelin kulku on nopeaa jonka ansiosta pelin voi pelata parissa päivässä loppuun. Mukaansatempaavan tarinan ja musiikin ansiosta miellyttävä pelikokemus.

Arvioni perustuu omaan kokemukseeni. Eli muilla saattaa mennä pelaamiseen paljon vähemmän aikaa (Teen muutakin kuin pelaan :D)

Arvosanani pelille on 4/5, sillä niihin muutamiin pulmiin meni niin pahasti hermo että innostus pelaamisesta hävisi (malttamaton, tiedän). Suosittelen kyllä kaikille! Peli löytyy perus laitteille, sekä Play-kaupasta hintaan 5,46€. Metacritic keskiarvo on 76/100.

Broken Age is an adventure game where two similar persons from different backrounds meet each other. Vella and Shay, two youngster who try to live their lifes beyond the rules. In Vella's world it is normal to sacrifice young women once in a year to a big monster. Only this way the town and villages can proceed in peace and order. Of course, there must be one young who wants to defie the tradition and destroy the monster, that young people can live their lifes normal.

Shay, whose every step and move are watched in his own spaceship. It’s hard work to be a captain of the ship when your AI-Mom and -Dad follow you everywhere. However, one night shay manages to trick the AIs and face opposite of his everyday life.

The game is designed in fun way, it feels like you are playing in painting. While you play you can switch the mode to a pixel mash, if you want to include some nostalgia feeling. Broken Age is easy to play, except for some puzzles. The game play is fast which mean that you will play the game through in couple of days. Thanks to engaging storyline and music the gaming experience is pleasant.

My assessment is based on my own experience. For me the playthrough might have taken longer than for many others. (I have much more things to do than play :D).

My score for the game is 4/5, as I lost the nerves in few puzzles so badly that I lost enthusiasm for playing (impatient, I know…). I still recommend this to everyone! The game can be found for all consoles, as well in the Play Store with price of 5,46€. Metcritic’s score is 76/100.
